The man was significantly overweight. Most of the time Chelcie walked past him, he was sleeping; when he wasn’t, he was just eating some snacks he probably got from the store down the corner.
Probably, for a lot of people who walked past him on a daily basis without paying him any mind, that man was pretty much like a piece of street furniture. But not for Chelcie.
