We skipped the Oscars to see The Lost City 🎥🍿

Last Sunday, I read a column in the NY Times with the provocative title We Aren’t Just Watching the Decline of the Oscars. We’re Watching the End of the Movies. As a film buff and low-key contrarian, I knew what I had to do. We skipped the Oscars and went to our local multiplex to see The Lost City, a cutesy action/comedy in the tradition of Romancing the Stone. Christina and I enjoyed the movie, and we rode that wave of enjoyment right on over to Chipotle, where we quoted our favorite Channing Tatum & Sandra Bullock moments over burrito bowls. Good times!

But enough about us and our movie-going. I want to hear about you and your movie-going.

Have you been to the movies lately?

What did you see?

Is there an upcoming film that you just have to see in theaters?

Bonus question: what’s your best memory of seeing a film in the theater?
