Serving tables is easily one of the most underrated jobs in the world. There are so many things that go into it- things going on behind the scenes- and that’s what makes it such a thankless job. Keeping customers happy and entertained is no easy feat and that’s something not all customers understand. Another thing that goes unnoticed is that servers often depend on the kindness of strangers to make it through the month.

But even when those servers go above and beyond to keep their customers happy, some things are simply out of their hands. Some servers are happy with receiving the minimum but some- like the server who shared this story- end up getting little to nothing at times.
