Constitution Day Channel

All Grade Levels

Celebrate Constitution Day by exploring the history, purpose, and legacy of the US Constitution, a historic document that has shaped our history and lives. On September 17, 1787, delegates from the newly-formed states signed the Constitution of the United States. Congress passed a law to commemorate the day as “Citizenship Day” in 1952, and a new law renamed the holiday “Constitution Day” in 2004.

Constitution Day is an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge of the Constitution and our roles as citizens. Explore the Constitution Day Channel for exclusive clips, content collections, and student activities that will engage students and fuel meaningful conversations around our nation’s history.
