“The Woman King” is set in the 1800s and tells the story of the Agojie, an all-woman army of warriors who protect the African kingdom of Dahomey. Faced with a new enemy determined to destroy their empire, General Nanisca (Viola Davis) must train the next generation of Agojie for their most pivotal battle yet.

Academy award-winning actress Viola Davis stars as the fierce and triumphant General Nanisca. She’s joined by an ensemble featuring Thuso Mbedu (“The Underground Railroad”), Lashana Lynch (“Captain Marvel”), Sheila Atim (“Bruised”), Hero Fiennes Tiffin (“After”), and John Boyega (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”).
