Fans can vote until December 7 at 9 p.m. ET to help decide the winners in all 31 award categories.
Along with celebrating 2022’s best games, the show will debut new titles and trailers.
The Game Awards 2022 will stream live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on December 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Winners will be announced in 31 categories as determined by a jury of experts and fan votes, and there’s also an extra category that will have a winner picked strictly by fans. The Game Awards presentation will also include world premiere trailers and announcements from the industry’s biggest publishers.
Fans can vote for their top picks until the day before the event, December 7, at 9 p.m. ET. Fan votes will weigh about 10% in deciding the winners while votes from the jury determine about 90% of the outcome. The jury includes more than 100 media members from gaming outlets around the world; they also voted to select the nominees for each category.
God of War Ragnarok earned 10 different nominations, which is the most among the 108 games nominated for an award. The show will also celebrate other facets of the gaming industry, like the best movie adapted from a video game, and the best Twitch streamers and esports competitors.

How do you vote for the Game Awards?
Voting for The Game Awards requires logging into The Game Awards website, though you can sign in with an existing Twitter, Twitch, or Google account to avoid making a new one. Fans can vote for one nominee in each of the 31 categories.
Fan votes weigh about 10% in determining The Game Awards winners in each category, while the industry voting jury comprises the other 90% of the decision.

What is the Player’s Voice Award and how can I vote?
Player’s Voice is a special bonus category at The Game Awards that’s completely decided by fan voting. The category started with 30 nominees for the best game of 2022, and an initial round of fan voting is being tallied to whittle the list down to the top 10 remaining titles.
Fans can cast five votes for the Player’s Voice Award from December 1 -5, and three votes from December 5-7. Fans were allowed to cast 10 votes from November 14-30 to help whittle the list down of nominees from 30 games to 10.
