CNBC reported that Sam’s Club is bumping up its entry-level membership price.
The cost for entry-level members will rise to $50 annually, up from $45.
Walmart did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
Sam’s Club is cranking up its membership fees, CNBC reported.
According to CNBC’s Melissa Repko, the members-only warehouse chain will bump its annual fee to $50 from $45, and that change will go into effect on October 17. The 11% price hike for entry-level members would be the first in nine years.
Sam’s Club and its parent company, Walmart, did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment. As of Wednesday afternoon, the chain’s website was still listing the $45 annual price.
Sam’s Club’s Plus membership will rise to $110 from $100 a year, CNBC reported.
