After what happened to Miss Kitty’s babies, the Grants had the idea to visit their local animal shelter. They fell in love with a black Cocker Spaniel called Smoochie and agreed to adopt her, hoping she would get along well with Miss Kitty. They were relieved that Miss Kitty didn’t put up a fuss.

They didn’t bond immediately but kept the peace by tolerating one another. The Grants were happy to see the two pets had no hassles with one another, but their happiness would be short-lived.
