Need a gold-encased Blackberry? Pharrell Williams cleaned out his 11 storage units and is auctioning off all his stuff

Williams announced the launch of forthcoming Joopiter on Thursday via Instagram.
According to Williams, the sale marks the ‘beginning of a new era’ as he makes space and declutters.
The Oct. 14 launch will only include items from Williams’ collection, but the mogul plans to sell items from other collectors in the future.

Music mogul Pharrell Williams is decluttering.

Williams’ collection of unique luxury goods will go on his brand new online auction site – Joopiter. Starting October 14, users can bid on items that Williams has not only worn, but also helped design.

A custom gold-encased Blackberry, hand-painted Timberland boots, and Swarovski crystal-embossed Adidas sneakers are among the quirky pieces.

Buyers also can score a blinged-out Casio, monogrammed vintage-style trunks from luxury brands Goyard amd Louis Vuitton, and several jackets once worn by Williams.

In a Thursday Instagram post, Williams said the launch of Joopiter marks “the beginning of a new era” and “setting myself free” after years of holding on to the past.

“My business manager was like, ‘Hey, at this point, you have 11 different storage units,'” Williams said in an interview with Financial Times.

On Joopiter’s site, he explains the energy held by “cultural artifacts” as they are collected and passed from person to person.Β

Existing auction sites just didn’t capture the “Happy” singer’s vision for selling his eclectic collection, he said.

“There’s not really one size fits all,” Williams said. “I’m not going to sell furniture on StockX. You know what I’m saying? I’m not going to sell, you know, 20-plus-carat diamond rings on (The) RealReal.”

According to the FT report, the producer plans to expand the platform to sell items from other collectors and, eventually, into philanthropy.Β

In addition to his music career, Williams founded his own skincare brand, Humanrace, in 2020 and non-profit Yellow in 2008.Β
