This cycle, 24 out of 49 of the seats in the Washington State Senate are up for election, and Democrats currently control the chamber by a margin of 9 seats.
The Washington House is currently under Democratic control, but is competitive this year. While the Democratic Party is seen as possessing the advantage, the chamber is in contention it’s going to be a race to watch. The Washington Senate is not seen as particularly competitive.
