KFC opened its first-ever pub, “The Colonel’s Arms,” on Friday in Hammersmith, London.
The pub, launched to celebrate the FIFA World Cup, heavily promotes KFC’s delivery service.
It features chicken-drumstick table soccer, chicken wallpaper, and framed photos of the Colonel – take a look inside.
KFC has just opened its first-ever pub, called “The Colonel’s Arms.”

The pop-up, located in Hammersmith, London, opened on Friday, November 25 and will shut its doors on Thursday, December 1. I paid the pub a visit on its opening night to see what it’s like.

To get a ticket, you have to sign up on Eventbrite. All the slots were booked up well in advance of the pub opening. There are still some slots available for walk-ins, though.

The pub was busy when I visited.

The pop-up was launched to celebrate the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Screens across the room were playing the England v. USA soccer match, and there were flags dotted around.

Almost everything was chicken-themed, from the decorations behind the bar …Spot the chicken-drumstick wallpaper.

The pub even had a table soccer game that used the gold and black chicken drumstick-shaped pieces instead of soccer players.

There were also KFC cushions …

The pub had a standard bar menu, with a handful of beers, spirits, wines, and soft drinks. None had been specially formulated for the KFC pub, sadly, meaning we couldn’t sip on fried chicken flavor beer.

You could get food delivered to your table, too. My friend got four pieces of KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken, which came with a pot of gravy to dip them in.

I picked the veggie option, which turned out to be one of the chain’s veggie burgers. It contained a Quorn vegan chicken fillet coated in KFC’s famous mix of 11 herbs and spices, which made it pretty much indistinguishable from KFC’s regular chicken.

The were tiny tubs of popcorn chicken at the bar, too.

The pub’s decor was lighthearted and playful, with chicken or the Colonel permeating nearly every aspect of its design.

If you didn’t want to watch the match, there was a retro-style arcade machine …

The female restrooms were labeled as “hens” …

As well as being soccer-focused, the pub was also geared towards promoting KFC’s delivery service.

QR codes dotted around the room took visitors to the download page for KFC’s delivery app …

… including in the restrooms, which isn’t a place where I usually think about ordering chicken.

Prior to being transformed into the KFC pop-up, the space was a pub called The Old Suffolk Punch.

The Colonel’s Arms was a lot of fun, and I’d recommend Londoners try grab one of the walk-in spaces just so they can tell their friends they went to the first (and perhaps last) KFC pub.
