One of the side quests is to obtain a “Shriveled Starshroom”.
You can start it by talking to the Material-Collecting Aranara.
The Aranara is located northwest of Apam Woods, floating on top of grass.

You need to give the Aranara 1 shriveled Starshroom and 1 Viparyas.

Teleport to “Avidya Forest, Sumeru”.Navigate to the east of Gandharva Ville.Go inside the tunnel.Find and apply Pyro to the Starshroom.Collect the “Scorched Starshroom”.
A shriveled Starshroom is the same as a scorched Starshroom.
To get one, you need to apply Pyro to a Starshroom and collect it.
After you’ve got one, teleport to “Ashavan Realm, Sumeru” (Apam Woods).
Navigate to the north and talk to the Material-Collecting Aranara.
“Want a Viparyas and shriveled Starshroom. Normal ones have normal purposes, shriveled ones have shriveled purposes”.
Submit a “Viparyas” and a “Scorched Starshroom” to the Aranara.
“Shriveled Starshrooms can be very useful too. Thank you, Nara friend”.
