How one of the most polluted neighborhoods in the US is fighting back

The Ironbound neighborhood in Newark, New Jersey, is one of the most polluted in the country.
It’s one of many “environmental justice” communities — where low-income or minority residents live near industrial pollution.
Activists have been fighting to clean it up for decades, and their work led to a landmark environmental justice law.
The law makes it harder for industrial polluters to get or renew permits in overburdened communities.

People have been fighting to clean one of the most polluted neighborhoods in America for more than 50 years. Will a new law change things?
