Facebook and Instagram have been blocked in two Russian-backed separatist regions, Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), located in eastern Ukraine. The step has been taken in alignment to Russia’s policy on the US-based social networks.
