The dog was standing next to the drain a moment later, holding a sausage. Nancy began walking back to her apartment when she noticed the dog dumping half of the sausage she had given down the drain.

She rolled her eyes and continued walking; the unfortunate stray must have dropped the sausage by accident, and it was now gone. But she had no idea the stray had done it on purpose.
