The adults couldn’t bare seeing the calf so worn out and tired. Its anguished cries were heart-breaking, and they knew it felt hopeless.
The larger elephants were getting restless. The sounds they were making seemed to be getting no attention and they were running out of time. They hated to see how weak and defeated their baby was looking but they knew there was something more they could do.
