The most effective horror films are the ones that tap into fears we can all connect to — and there aren’t many things more unnerving than the idea of looking out the window at night and seeing someone staring back at you.
Chloe Okuno’s Watcher follows an American woman who moves with her partner to Bucharest, Romania, only to become obsessed with a stranger in the apartment opposite who appears to be constantly watching their new home.
The trailer is genuinely unsettling, with things going from bad to worse when multiple women in the neighbourhood are killed.
