DoorDash is expanding beyond food delivery.

Chase has expanded its free DoorDash DashPass membership benefit to most of its co-branded credit cards.
These include the popular Chase United, Marriott, Southwest, and IHG personal and business cards.
To receive a free year, you must activate the benefit by December 31, 2024.

Chase has partnered with DoorDash for a couple of years now, offering perks like statement credits and free DashPass membership on some of its cards. Most recently, Chase extended the option to activate a free DashPass membership on a handful of cards, including the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® (the latter of which also saw the addition of a $5 monthly in-app credit).

However, Chase’s co-branded cards were left out of that update. But now, Chase has added a year of free DashPass membership to just about every one of its co-branded cards, including the popular United, Marriott, and Southwest credit cards. Activation is required by December 31, 2024.

If you’re a frequent DoorDash user, this perk can save you a lot of money. A DashPass membership gets you free delivery and discounted service fees on orders $12 and above with both DoorDash and Caviar delivery services, and normally costs $9.99 per month.

Here’s what to know if you want to take advantage of the newest Chase DoorDash DashPass benefit.

We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

Chase DoorDash benefit: Get a free year of DashPass with co-branded cards

If you have a Chase co-branded card in your wallet, you’re probably eligible for a free year of DoorDash DashPass membership. However, it’s not automatic — to trigger the benefit, you must add your eligible Chase card to your DoorDash account by December 31, 2024.

In addition, you’ll need to use your Chase card to pay for your delivery in order to take advantage of the DashPass benefits.

Bottom line

With the addition of a year of complimentary DoorDash DashPass membership to almost every Chase co-branded card, it’s become even easier to save money on food delivery. If you already use DoorDash, this perk has the potential to save you a fair bit of cash.

Free DashPass is also a nice way to offset a card’s annual fee if you can make the most of it. What’s more, some of the cards on the list don’t charge an annual fee at all, so any savings you receive is just gravy.

Just be sure to set a reminder to cancel your membership after the introductory period expires, otherwise, you’ll be charged the full monthly price (currently $9.99).
