A centipede won’t hurt you unless you pick it up and repeatedly try to irritate it. Even then, there won’t be much of a bump from the bite.
Centipedes save the ferocity of their venom for their prey. They simply want to live in harmony with humans. Most of the time, they do wish to coexist with us in a pleasant setting.
