Amazon has a hot new Kindle on the market that is its lightest, smallest yet, and you can get it on sale now for Black Friday for $85. At $15 off, this all-new Kindle 2022 is the least expensive Kindle you can get right now while time lasts.
Whether you’re looking for yourself, a friend, or family member, this new Kindle is a solid introductory e-reader option, and one of the only Kindle deals Amazon is offering this Black Friday. The other two deals you can snag are 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for $1 and the Kindle Paperwhite for an all-time low price of $95.
The all-new Kindl 2022 comes with a 6-inch screen and weighs 5.56 oz, or about a third of a pound. It also comes with storage starting at 16GB — double the Kindle Paperwhite’s — and has a glare-free screen with 300 ppi resolution.
However, the all-new Kindle 2022 lacks some of the features of the more expensive Paperwhite including a waterproof screen, wireless charging, and adjustable warm light.
It’s also worth noting that the front lite of the Kindle 2022 comes with 4 LEDs compared to the Paperwhite’s 17 LEDs or the Oasis’s 25 LEDs. So, it’s not the brightest Kindle model out there. However, that does mean it has lasting battery life.
The Kindle 2022 can last up to 6 weeks on a single charge. That’s assuming 30-minutes of reading per day with a light setting of 13. So depending on use, the battery life may last less than 6 weeks, especially if you stream Audible autobooks on it.
