Many major credit card issuers have recently added complimentary delivery service memberships that can help its customers save money. For example, Chase rolled out free Instacart+ and DoorDash DashPass subscriptions on some of its cards, and The Platinum Card® from American Express offers monthly statement credits for Walmart+ membership**.

Now, Bank of America and Grubhub have partnered to offer a new benefit for cardholders. If you have an eligible Bank of America credit card or debit card (such as the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Credit Card, Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card, or Alaska Airlines Visa® Credit Card), you can activate a free year of Grubhub+.

With a Grubhub+ membership, you’ll get unlimited free delivery (on orders over $12), exclusive offers, and access to donation matches at checkout. The service normally costs $9.99 per month, so a complimentary year would normally cost around $120.

Don’t have a Bank of America card? You can still get a year of free Grubhub+ with an eligible Amazon Prime membership

If you don’t usually use Grubhub or prefer a different food delivery service altogether, you probably won’t benefit from a Grubhub+ membership. But since the membership is complimentary, activating it won’t actually cost you anything (as long as you unsubscribe after a year).

Here’s what you need to know if you decide to activate a free Grubhub+ membership with your Bank of America card.

We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

How to activate your free Grubhub+ membership

Bank of America cardholders have to manually activate the offer in order to receive their free trial Grubhub+ membership. To activate, use your eligible Bank of America card to register here by April 20, 2023.

Enter your Bank of America card details on the enrollment site to activate your Grubhub+ membership.

You can cancel your free trial any time, but that will result in immediate termination of Grubhub+ membership and benefits. Cardholders without a preexisting Grubhub+ membership are only eligible to receive the free trial year once.
