Lionel Messi captains the Argentina national team as well as Barcelona. He is also a football forward and a list of the greatest players isn’t complete with Messi. He has won several awards over his career including six Ballon d’Or as well as six European Golden Shoes. Messi has made the highest number of scores in La Liga with about 445 goal scores in his career.

He is also the all-time leading goalscorer in his country. Messi had announced his retirement from international play in 2016, but thankfully he rethought his decision and led Argentina to the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Copa America where they finished third.
