To add someone to your Discord server, you can create an invite link and share it with them.
You can also send them an Instant Invite link if they are your friend on Discord.
You may want to edit the invite link so that it never expires, just in case.
Building out a Discord server means inviting people to join the conversation. If you’ve just created a server, or you want to extend an invite to new friends, you will need to get the invite link so people can be added to the server.
If they’re already on Discord, you can simply send them an Instant Invite link. Here’s how to add people on Discord.
How to add someone on Discord on a computer
1. Open the Discord desktop app on your computer.
2. Click the server you want to add users to in the left side menu.
3. Click the server name to open the drop-down menu.
4. Select Invite People.

5. Click Copy to copy the link and send it to those you want to join the server.

Quick tip: You can set the link to never expire by clicking Edit invite link below it. In the pop-up, set the dropdown under Expire After to Never.

How to add someone on Discord on mobile
If you’re using the mobile app, it’s also quite easy to send someone an invite link to your Discord server.
1. Open the Discord app on your phone.
2. Tap the desired server in the left side menu.
3. Tap Invite.

4. Tap Copy Link to copy the link and send it to those you want to invite to join the server.

5. Alternatively, you can tap Share to choose a mobile sharing option.
Quick tip: To set a link to never expire on the Discord mobile app, tap Edit this link under the search box. Then, tap Never.

How to invite people to a Discord server on a computer
Each Discord channel in your server has an individual Instant Invite link that can be sent to individuals. This will allow the recipient to interact with the linked channel.
1. Open the Discord desktop app on your computer.
2. Click the server you want to invite people to on the left side menu.
3. Click the server name to open the drop-down menu.
4. Select Invite People.
