Fix 1: Disable Steam Input
Open Steam and log in to your account.
Go to your library and right-click “Need for Speed Unbound”.
Select Properties > Controller > Override for Need for Speed Unbound.
Select “Disable Steam Input”.
Note: If disabling Steam Input does not fix your controller, try enabling it instead.

Launch the game from Origin instead of Steam (NFS-specific).
Add the “EADesktop” app to Steam (Library > Add a Game > Add a Non-Steam Game > EADesktop) and launch the game on Steam (NFS-specific).
Unplug external unused USB devices (Logitech racing wheel, Thrustmaster racing wheel, additional controllers, etc.).
Open Steam > Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache.
Unplug and replug your controller (it can be simply a loose plug).
