It’s that time of year again for Chase Freedom cardholders. If you have a Chase Freedom credit card (Chase Freedom Flex℠, Chase Freedom Unlimited®, Chase Freedom® Student credit card, or Chase Freedom®), you can kick off this year’s holiday shopping season with Chase’s Month of More event.
Chase’s 2022 Month of More runs from November 1 to November 30, 2022. During the Month of More, Freedom cardholders can earn higher cash-back rewards at select retailers when they shop through Chase’s shopping portal. In addition, cardholders get 10% bonus value when they redeem points through the Apple Ultimate Rewards store, and a 10% discount when using points to pay for gift cards from select retailers.
Unfortunately, this year’s Month of More event doesn’t include extra cash back on Chase Dining (was 10% back last year), nor is there a Pay Yourself Back offer. But don’t let that get you down; there are still plenty of excellent deals this month.
Here’s all you need to know about this year’s Chase Month of More event.
We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.
Earn up to 5% cash back at select brands when you shop through Chase
If you have a Chase Freedom card, you can get a boosted 5% bonus cash back at select retailers when you shop through Chase with your card. For example, you can earn an extra 5% cash back on Ulta Beauty purchases when you shop through Chase’s portal.
Keep in mind that Month of More extra bonus cash does not apply to item purchases in stores. Also, if you don’t have a Chase Freedom card, you won’t be able to earn extra rewards.
Chase Freedom cards earn 5% cash back on purchases from the following brands:

You’ll also be able to activate exclusive deals online through the Chase Mobile app while you shop (or at chase.com).
Get more value from Ultimate Rewards points
Even though Chase markets the Freedom cards as cash-back credit cards, they actually earn valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points, which are usually worth 1 cent each when you redeem for cash back, gift cards, and travel through Chase.
Redeem your points for Apple purchases with a 10% bonus
During Month of More, Freedom cardholders get a 10% bonus (1.1 cents per point) when redeeming points for purchases through the Apple Ultimate Rewards store. Tech can be some of the most popular and expensive items to gift. So if you’re thinking of giving a new pair of AirPods, a MacBook, iPad, or other Apple accessories, you can save tons when you redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
Get 10% off select gift cards
But if you’ve run out of gift ideas this holiday season, a gift card is always a reliable and easy present for a distant loved one, coworker, or even that hard-to-shop-for person in your life. For Month of More, you’ll get 10% off when you redeem points for select gift cards purchased with points through Chase.
Here are some of your redemption options included in the Month of More:

It’s important to note that there are limited quantities of each gift card available. So if you’re interested in redeeming your points on a gift card either for yourself or for a loved one, don’t wait too long.
There are more valuable ways to redeem your points
If you also have the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, or the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, and you aren’t relying on your points to pay for holiday shopping expenses, you’ll be better off transferring your points to one of these accounts to unlock more valuable redemption options.
Having one of the cards above allows you to transfer points to Chase’s airline and hotel partners, and get significantly more value (an average of 1.8 cents per point, based on Insider’s valuation of Chase points). For example, you can easily transfer as few as 5,000 points to Hyatt for a free hotel night, or even transfer 26,000 points to British Airways for a round-trip flight from the West Coast to Hawaii.
You can also get better value redeeming points for travel booked through Chase (1.25 cents each with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, and 1.5 cents each with the Chase Sapphire Reserve®).
