Gillbert, the 3D-printed robot fish is designed to reduce water pollution

Gillbert is a robot fish designed by University of Surrey student Eleanor Mackintosh to vacuum microplastics from waterways. The robot uses a set of gills to filter water while keeping microplastics inside its container. Gillbert’s design is open source and free to download, so anyone with access to a 3D printer can create a Gillbert of their own.
