Total Halloween spending is projected to hit $10.6 billion for 2022, reports say.

On average, a person spends about $27.55 on Halloween candy, according to a report.
For many, Halloween is the perfect time to indulge in sweet treats, and people of each US state have their own favorite candy to satisfy their sweet tooth.
In a post-pandemic world, trick-or-treaters are back in full force, so homeowners are stocking up on sweet Halloween staples to hand out on Oct. 31. Data from bulk candy retailer Candy Store has revealed which candy is most beloved by each state.
According to a September news release from the National Retail Federation, total spending for Halloween 2022 is projected to hit $10.6 billion in the US. Candy Store reports that the average American will spend about $27.55 on Halloween candy.
This list of each state’s favorite candy includes treats for those who enjoy sour candies, chocolate, or even something with a spicy kick.
