Pigini accordions can have over 12,000 individual pieces, compared to the few hundred in a standard accordion. Each piece is installed by hand, which can take over a year. In that time, craftspeople build only 20 accordions from Pigini’s most expensive model, the Pigini Nòva. And it can retail for almost 40,000 euros online. So what goes into making a Pigini accordion?
