There are many golden rules in horror movies, but not accepting invites from strangers — no matter how friendly they may seem initially — has to be one of the biggest.
Unfortunately it’s also a rule that the family in Christian Tafdrup’s Speak No Evil casually ignores, cheerfully accepting an invite to visit the rural home of a family they met recently abroad.
As you probably already guessed, though, the family aren’t quite as charming as they seemed at first.
