India Revises Rules for Social Media Companies, Calls It Necessary to Protect Indians’ Constitutional Rights

India reissued new rules on social media companies on Monday. The rules, which were proposed but abruptly withdrew last week, were issued without any changes. The Indian government believes that the law was needed because the companies had violated users’ constitutional rights in India.
