The Amazon Prime Early Access Sale 2022 is still on and runs through today, October 12. It’s only fair to wonder if the deals are as good as the Prime Day bargains from July. During the summer Prime Day, we saw low prices on everything from Apple Watches to small appliances to clothing basics.

Using price-checking tools and referencing our old articles, we’ve found deals that are better than those on Prime Day, including ones that match past lightning deals you may have missed. However, there are some big brands and products missing from this Prime event. If you’re searching for a full-size KitchenAid mixer or a great deal on the latest AirPods, you might want to wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Simplehuman 45L Trash Can: 27% off

Despite their $100-plus price tags, Simplehuman’s trash cans are well worth it. This 45L stainless steel model is easy to clean and features a convenient liner pocket and a lid that opens and closes smoothly. For July’s Prime Day, we didn’t see a deal price, so this is a good one to jump on if you’re shopping for a new garbage can.

Casper Original Pillow: 30% off

The Casper Original Pillow is our favorite pillow for side sleepers thanks to its loft, support,  and the soft and fluffy feel of a down alternative. It’s $9 less than its all-time low price back in July.

Apple MacBook Air (2020, M1 Chip): 20% off

While Apple just released the MacBook Air M2, the M1 is still a great laptop. It’s remarkably fast and has an amazingly long battery life. Now at an all-time low, it’s $100 less than its July Prime Day price.

Echo Dot (3rd Gen) bundle with Amazon Smart Plug

The Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Bundle with Smart Plug is an affordable way to introduce smart capabilities to your home allowing you to control any outlet with your voice. During July’s Prime Day, it went for $55, making this an exceptional deal.

Ninja SP351 Foodi Smart 13-in-1 Dual Heat Air Fry: 32% off

The Ninja SP351 is on sale for the lowest price we’ve ever seen — and $107 less than what we saw back in July. It comes with a smart thermometer to help you cook meat perfectly, whether you like rare, well done, or somewhere in between.

LifeStraw Personal Water Filter: 23% off

The LifeStraw is a popular Prime Day deal our readers love and which we recommend for any emergency kit. The personal filter ensures drinking water is free of E. coli, salmonella, giardia, cryptosporidium, and more. At $10, it’s $5 less than its Prime price and an all-time low price we’ve only seen twice in recent years.

Peloton Bike: 15% off

Peloton is offering a big price cut on its wildly popular bike that was an early pandemic go-to for many seeking a steady fitness routine. For Prime Early Access, this is its all-time low price.

Bosch Blaze Pro GLM165-40: 24% off

This high-accuracy laser measurer is perfect for DIY home renovation projects when a tape measure will not suffice. For Amazon Early Access Sale, it’s an impressive $20 less than Prime Day in July.

Bose’s QuietComfort 45: 30% off

Bose’s QuietComfort 45 has sound, noise cancelling, and battery life upgrades as compared to the QuietComfort 35 II. This $229 price tag beats the low $249 price we’ve seen for these excellent headphones, and during Prime Day, they went for $329.

iRobot Roomba s9+ Robot Vacuum: 20% off

The D-shaped iRobot Roomba is the best robot vacuum we’ve tested for hardwood floors. It features a self-emptying dustbin, an impressive app that lets you set no-go zones, and large main brushes that pick up debris on the first pass. We’re shocked to see it on sale for $779.99, which is usually a great deal for iRobot’s less impressive vacs.

Sony 77-Inch A80J OLED 4K TV: 43% off

Sony’s A80J is the premium TV champ when it comes to image accuracy, but it’s a bit pricey. It went down to $2,399.99 in July during Prime Day, and now it’s even less, coming in at $1,999.

JBL Tune 230NC TWS True Wireless In-Ear Noise Canceling Headphones: 50% off

JBL’s Tune 230NC waterproof headphones offer active noise cancellation, great bass, and up to 40 hours of battery life on one charge. They were 40% off as part of an early Prime Day sale, but the current $49.95 price is even better.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Essentials Bundle: 38% off

Amazon’s waterproof Kindle Paperwhite sits in the middle of the Kindle lineup with a sharp 6-inch screen, backlight, and lots of great ebooks. The essentials bundle comes with a fabric cover and a power adapter. Another Prime Day lightning deal that’s sticking around longer, this $117.97 price matches the earlier, short-lived discount.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet: 50% off

Amazon’s 8-inch tablet has been updated for faster performance, making it an affordable option for casual reading, streaming movies, and video calls. This price matches a lightning deal from July’s sale.

Ninja NJ601AMZ Professional Blender: 34% off

While we haven’t tested this Ninja Blender, we do like many of the brand’s other models. Right now, it’s on sale for $5 less than the low Prime Day price of $69.99.

KitchenAid Artisan Mini Plus 3.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer: 32% off

The smallest of KitchenAid’s stand mixers and our favorite for small spaces, this model is the perfect size and strength for occasional bakers, new cooks, and those with petite kitchens. This $259 price matches July’s lightning deal for over $100 off what the mixer usually sells for.

Casper Comfy Mattress Topper: 30% off

If you like Casper products and need to upgrade your bed, you’ll want to try this mattress topper. It’s soft, cushiony, and dense enough to stand the test of time. We didn’t see the king-size version of this topper go on sale in July, and now it’s 30% off.

Samsung 85-inch The Frame QLED TV: 22% off

If you’re looking for a more aesthetically pleasing TV, Samsung’s 85-inch Frame TV may be for you. The sharp 4K QLED screen is encased in a classy frame to make it look like a work of art. Right now as part of a Lightning Deal, it’s available for just under $3,500 — an all-time low.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2: 33% off

Our pick for the best wireless earbuds for Android phones, the Galaxy Buds 2 deliver incredible sound and noise-canceling performance, but the paired app is limited to Android devices only. Matching last Prime Day’s lightning deal, they’re on sale for $99.99.

Roborock S7 Robot Vacuum and Mop: 37% off

While it had trouble in corners and operated loudly, we were overall impressed with the powerful suction of the Roborock S7, and it was one of the best at mopping of the robot vacuums we tested. The current price beats the lightning deal we saw on Prime Day.

Prime Early Access Sale FAQs

What is the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale?

A new shopping event for Prime members, Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale is being touted as a holiday-deal kickoff. You need to be a Prime member to shop the sale, which begins on October 11, 2022, 12 a.m. PDT, and ends Wednesday, October 12, 11:59 p.m. PDT.

Fifteen countries have access to the event: the US, UK, Turkey, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Poland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, and Austria.

What’s on sale during the Prime Early Access Sale?

Advertisements

Like July’s Prime Day sale, we see a lot of low prices on Amazon’s own devices, including discounts on Kindle e-book readers, Echo speakers, Fire tablets, Fire TVs and streaming devices, and more. Since this sale is kicking off the holiday shopping season, we’re also seeing deals on toys, apparel, and other giftable items.

Are these deals better than Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

While you can see some of the deals in this article are better than Prime Day, the Early Access Sale doesn’t have quite as many deep price drops as July’s event. We expect to see more and better discounts on kitchen appliances, vacuums, headphones, smart watches, tablets, clothing, and more during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

If something you’ve had your eye on isn’t on sale during this event, it might be worth waiting until November to see if there’s a deal.

Do I need a Prime membership?

Yes, the Prime event is only for Prime members. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial and cancel it after the event.
